Caffe Del Mar creates ready-to-drink coffee

Caffe Del Mar (Solana Beach, CA) has developed a private label RTD coffee beverage. Available in 10-oz glass bottles, the product has a two-year (unrefrigerated) shelflife and is lower in calories, sugar and carbohydrates than similar products. The firm developed the product at its laboratory and prototype facility in Carlsbad, CA. It will be manufactured at co-packers on the east and west coasts.

According to Caffe Del Mar, the market for new age and nutrient-enhanced ready-to-drink beverages has grown dramatically in the last 24 months. Consequently, the company is planning to expand its laboratory to develop other private label products including:
• Ready to drink green or chai teas (glass or aseptic);
• Low sugar drinks suitable for diabetics;
• Vitamin and mineral-enhanced coffee and tea drinks; and
• Signature coffee, tea and juice drinks for foodservice applications (single serve or concentrated).
