Todd Botanicals, North America's largest manufacturer of botanical extracts, has introduced Cocoa #2, a specially formulated flavoring extract that requires less flavor augmentation to achieve the flavor notes desired for foods, beverages, baked goods, snacks and confections.

This natural extract can be used in all flavor systems. Cocoa #2 reduces the number of formulations that food technologists and flavorists need to use because it combines a number of the desired flavor characteristics in a single extract. This enables Product Development scientists to use fewer formulations of cocoa extract and still achieve the flavor notes they desire. As for the Purchasing department, this equates to simplified buying and reduced costs.
