The K-Tron Feeder Group will exhibit several innovative designs and applications in pharmaceutical feeding and vacuum conveying at the Interphex Trade Show in New York, April 26-28,2005, in Booth 2055. K-Tron will exhibit its most recent concept in micro feeding, the Micro Feeder Model MT12. This loss-in-weight feeder will be displayed utilizing an optional draft shield, often used when weighing at very low rates. The Micro feeder model includes several new features designed specifically for the needs of pharmaceutical applications. The MT12 accurately feeds rates as low as 20 grams / hour and as high as 2000 grams/ hour, depending on material and installation environment.
A multi- feeder continuous mixing application for excipient or API addition will be shown using several K-Tron Pharma feeders and a 10 liter pharmaceutical mixer. K-Tron will also display a loss-in-weight feeder designed for magnesium stearate feeding, including a specialized venturi design for direct spray of the lubricant onto the tablet press tooling.
In addition K-Tron will exhibit sanitary K-Tron Hurricane P-series vacuum receivers, showing a model P10 conveying capsules and a model P30, completely disassembled in order to demonstrate its ease of assembly/ disassembly and easy clean design.
