Twin Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeder Models
Materials Fed: Twin screw loss-in-weight feeders are most effective for pigments, sticky, bridging or flooding powders, fiberglass.

Single Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeder Models
Materials Fed: Single screw loss-in-weight feeders are used for pellets and free-flowing powders.

Quick Change Single/Twin Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeders
Quick Change loss-in-weight feeders are specially designed for applications requiring the maximum possible material handling and changeover flexibility.
Materials Fed Single Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeders:
Single screw loss-in-weight feeders handle free-flowing materials such as pellets and powders.

All K-Tron loss-in-weight feeders come with the SmartConnex Feeder Control Environment. Operator interface options include:
KSU single loss-in-weight feeder control.
KSL single line control (up to 8 gravimetric feeders).
KSC multi-line control (up to 30 gravimetric feeders and up to 8 lines).

Other Loss-in-Weight Feeder Options
Hazardous Areas: K-Tron provides loss-in-weight feeders that can meet area classifications according to American or European standards.

Shear Hopper for Modular loss-in-weight feeders. The shear hopper reliably prevents bridge-building of cohesive bulk materials. This special hopper can be used with all K2 Modular Loss-in-Weight Feeders in place of the standard 4D hoppers.

Loss-in-Weight Feeder Accuracy
Weigh feeder accuracy is a measure of how closely a feeder discharges material at the desired flow rate. A complete expression of loss-in-weight feeder accuracy includes measurements of repeatability and linearity. Repeatability measures the extent of discharge variability at a given flow rate. Linearity gauges the deviation of average flow rate over the feeder's full operating range.
