American Seafoods Names New President & CEO
American Seafoods Co., Seattle, has appointed Michael Hyde to serve as its new president and CEO effective October 1. He has been involved with the commercial fishing industry for more than 20 years as a commercial fisherman, vessel owner and professional advisor. Since 1984, Hyde has practiced law at the Seattle firm of Mundt MacGregor, L.L.P., where he represented clients in the North Pacific fishing industry.
"I am greatly honored to step into this role at American Seafoods," said Hyde. "We have a very talented team and I believe the future of the company holds great promise."
Tore Tonne, speaking on behalf of the shareholders of American Seafoods, said, "Mike is extremely familiar with the business of American Seafoods through his long-term legal representation of our business interests and we are extremely proud to have him lead the American Seafoods' management team."
