Arnold Manheimer Elected FEMA President

Arnold Manheimer, Executive Vice President/COO of J. Manheimer, Inc. - Flavor Division was elected to President of The Flavor and Extract Manufacturer Association of the United States (FEMA) in May, 1999 at the association's annual meeting. Mr. Manheimer's term will run through May of 2000. FEMA is comprised of over 100 members and associate members representing all of the major global flavor manufacturers, flavor users, flavor ingredient suppliers and others with a significant interest in the flavor industry.

One of the most important priorities facing FEMA according to Manheimer is the continual effort to develop a Global Flavor Ingredient List. In addition, the organization will continue to bring value to the domestic members of FEMA through regulatory workshops & efforts to streamline issues that include dialog with USDA, BATF, & FDA.
