At IFT: Chicken Broth Powder

J. Manheimer, Inc. - Flavor Divisionthe joint venture between Henningsen Foods (Rye Brook, NY) and J. Manheimer, Inc. (Long Island City, NY), has developed Classic Chicken Broth Powder. Said to impart a rich roasted Chicken flavor that quickly rehydrates to a golden broth, this new product allows the product developers to use as little as 1/4 the amount of traditionally available powdered broth, according to the company. Applications for use range from liquid and dry soup bases, stocks, sauces, gravies, pumps and marinades to seasoning blends.

Attendees were able to sample the new Broth compared with commercially available powdered broth at the Henningsen Booth #2006. The Manheimer booth #1902 showed dips and beverages
flavored with essential oils and oleoresins from its Basic Product Div.
