Baker's Coconut

Baker's Coconut, a brand of Kraft Food Ingredients (KFI), will introduce a new generation of coconut with the launch of their Coconut Concentrate for Beverages. Baker's has developed a new Coconut Concentrate that can add a unique flavor to a variety of applications from beverages like smoothies and fruit drinks to sauces, salad dressings, soups, ice creams, and even entrees.
To make the product as multi-purpose as possible, Baker's strove for a product that had several important advantages such as texture, taste, and shelf life. The coconut particle size had to be less than 20µ. The advantage of this very fine grind of coconut is a smooth, non-gritty quality that makes it a superior choice in beverage applications. Designed as a substitute for fresh coconut milk or cream, Baker's Coconut Concentrate is a finely ground paste that, when diluted, can be adjusted to the desired viscosity. Baker's Coconut Concentrate has the advantage of an extended shelf life of nearly a year at ambient temperature. In comparison, fresh coconut milk can only last a matter of hours once the package has been opened. The stability of its product can greatly reduce the amount of waste and cost involved in using coconut in an application.
