Quaker Oats Companyade product is milled from sound, scientifically cleaned barley grain that has been pearled, steamed and ground to produce a stable flour in which enzyme activity has been minimized. The flour blends well with other food products; it has the ability to absorb flavors, which causes it to lose it's identity in food formulations. With a protein quality better than wheat, the flour can be used as a protein source and as a starch replacement in certain food applications.
The barley flour can be used as a thickener, stabilizer, and binder and protein source for baby foods, malt beverages, prepared meats and pet foods.
