Berghausen Corporation Adds Key Managers to Fuel Growth into 2002

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Jan. 9 - Berghausen Corporation announced today the appointment of Fritz Berghausen as President and member of the board. Mr. Berghausen has been with the company since 1993 and is the fifth generation to lead the company since its founding in 1863. For the past two years he has served in the capacity of Executive Vice President. Al Berghausen III will remain Chairman and CEO, as well as, continuing his role in R&D.

Berghausen Corporation also added Michael J. Puehse, Marketing & Sales Manager and W. Thomas Davlin, Quality Assurance Manager.

Mr. Puehse has over 15 years experience in the food and beverage industries working for Nestle Beverage Company and most recently as Vice President, Sales & Marketing for D.D. Williamson & Co., Inc. Mr. Puehse's primary focus will be expanding Berghausen's global markets for extracts and manufacturing services.

Mr. Davlin has over 15 years experience in the food industry working for ORE-IDA Foods and Pierre Frozen Foods as Quality Assurance Manager.
