Cadbury Schweppes introduces ready-to-drink Bloody Caesar

Mott's Clamato, a brand of Cadbury Schweppes, is introducing a ready-to-drink version of Canada's best-loved cocktail—the Bloody Caesar. Mott's Clamato Caesar will be rolled out throughout the province of Ontario and should be in stores by late November—just in time for the holiday season. A national rollout of the drink is slated for early 2001.

The new drink is targeted at adults age 25-34, who are social and active. This demographic has told Mott's focus groups that convenience is key for them. They enjoy Caesars, but often don't have all the ingredients on hand to make one and would like to drink Caesars more often if they were more convenient to prepare.

"Every year, over 250 million Mott's Clamato Caesar's are consumed across the country," said Joe dangle, marketing director for Mott's Clamato. "But consumers told us that they would enjoy Caesars more often—if we could only ease preparation and make it more convenient and accessible to them."

The product is packaged in a 4-pack of twist-off, 355 ml bottles and is available in Original and Extra Spicy varieties.
