Dannon Announces Executive Appointments

The Dannon Company, Inc., (Tarrytown, NY) has appointed Thomas Kunz as president and CEO. He will replace Antonio Spagnolo, who has been assigned to a post in a new venture development for dairy products at Groupe Danone in Paris. These appointments are effective Feb.15, 1999.

Kunz, joined Groupe Danone in 1990 and most recently was general manager of Bagley S.A., a Groupe Danone subsidiary in Argentina. He now will have strategic and direct responsibilities for dairy products in the U.S. and Canada as well as worldwide category responsibility for dairy desserts. In this capacity, Kunz will be part of the Divisional Executive Committee and will report to Jan Bennink, senior VP, dairy products worldwide for Groupe Danone.
