Folexco/East Earth Herb Changes Name

Folexco (Montgomeryville, PA), which acquired East Earth Herb (Eugene, OR) in April 1999 is now changing its name to A.M Todd Botanicals.

A.M. Todd Botanicals is an operating division of Zink and Triest, a member of the A.M. Todd Group of Companies, which includes a number of companies that serve the food and flavor industries. E.M Todd itself was founded by Albert May Todd in 1869 as a mint oil producer and continues to supply peppermint and spearmint oils and flavors.

"We felt it was only natural that we put Folexco/East Earth Herb under the A.M Todd banner, which is respected around the world as a key supplier to the food industry," said David Wilson, CEO of A.M Todd Botanicals. "It's a natural synergy for us and our customers who can rely on the support of a long established, globally resource organization with access to botanical extract manufacturing facilities on both costs of the U.S."

The newly named company manufactures hundreds of extracts from seeds, roots, barks, fruits and leaves in spray-dried power, tincture and fluid, glycolic and solid extract forms. A.M. Todd Botanicals also offers a broad range of extracts used for natural flavors, colors and aromas. Also included in the A.M. Todd Group of Companies is A.M. Todd Company (Kalamazoo, MI), a mint oil producer; Zink & Triest (Montgomeryville, PA), a vanilla bean supplier; Sunpure Ltd. (Lakeland, FL), which produces citrus products and flavor ingredients; and Flavorite (Memphis, TN), a developer and processor of customized seasoning blends.
