Frutarom Brands Wild Green Oat Extract As 'Neuravena'
North Bergen, NJ - Michael Faber, Business Manager, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals and Cosmetics, Frutarom USA Inc., announced that as the manufacturer of exemplary herbal extracts, Frutarom has branded their Wild Green Oat Special Extract, dubbing it "Neuravena".
Neuravena is part of the EFLA line which was acquired when Frutarom purchased Emil Flachsmann in 2003. EFLA botanical extracts were long recognized as top-of-the-line products and were especially well known in Western Europe until the acquisition. Today, through Frutarom's extensive global outreach, these exceptional pharma grade extracts are making their way into worldwide markets. Neuravena is the first branded extract to come from Frutarom.
Mr. Faber explained that the Neuravena brand name is derived from the word neuron, and from the term "avena sativa", the scientific name for the product. He said, "Frutarom employs a bioassay guided development to create Neuravena whereby Frutarom screens the biological activity and safety profile of dozens of old and wild type-like green oat accessions in CNS test systems for mental health. Then, Frutarom scientifically selects the best performing green oat accession – Neuravena – as the raw material for its Wild Green Oat extract."
As the brand name suggests, Frutarom's Neuravena is believed to improve the cognitive function and also overcome stress/burnout and chronic fatigue. As a nervine tonic, its applications are broad and include suitability as a functional food supplement and use in phytopharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.
Mr. Faber added, "Neuravena provides a high degree of purity, good solubility and exceptional stability since it's produced through a proprietary process technology at our world class manufacturing facilities. Frutarom customers have the assurance that when they choose our brand, Neuravena, we have eliminated undesirable lipophilic residues and contaminants."
