GC/MS TurboMass Mass Spectrometer

PerkinElmer Instruments, Inc.he TurboMassTM Mass Spectrometer is a benchtop mass spectrometric detector designed not only to perform routine GC/MS analyses for day-to-day QA/QC testing, but more complex analyses such as those required for flavor development. Designed as a detector for the manufacturer's AutoSystem XLTM GC, the instrument is said to feature extreme sensitivity. In full-scan mode, it can detect at the low picogram level. Detection limits can extend down to the femtogram range using Selected Ion Monitoring (SIM). Running under the Microsoft Windows NT operating environment, the TurboMass system's software features fully variable scan rates, flexible SIM analysis, a choice of mass spectral libraries, data security and interchange and convenient reporting.
