Global Organics Introduces Flavorful, Clean-Label Organic Peanut Butter Chips

Minimal ingredients offer clean label alongside delicious “flavor bomb” profile

Consumers’ love affair with peanut butter has been going strong for decades — but as they are increasingly on the lookout for cleaner labels, could a breakup be in the future for super flavorful peanut butter inclusions? Not if manufacturers replace the usual additives found in peanut butter chips (read: partially hydrogenated oil, corn syrup solids, dextrose and the like) with Organic Peanut Butter Chips from Global Organics Ltd., a leading supplier of sustainable, certified organic and fair trade ingredients.

This dynamic inclusion delivers an extra burst of peanut flavor, despite being made up of only four simple, organic ingredients — organic peanut flour, coconut or cane sugar, cocoa butter and salt. The result is a clean-label addition that enhances the luxurious mouthfeel and unmistakable taste of peanut butter in every bite. In short, these chips heighten the flavor sensation of any product they’re added to, meaning peanut butter becomes more peanut-buttery, chocolate — and everything — more flavorful, and all without harmful additives, says Cathy Fichtner, Cocoa + Chocolate Category Manager at Global Organics.

“Consumers will devour products made with these chips,” Fichtner says. “And these shelf-stable chips bring every advantage conceivable to manufacturers: they function well at room temperature so they can be mixed into trail mix or no-bake bars, they remain soft and hold their flavor in ice cream, and they bake beautifully.”

Beyond their utility in baked, room-temperature and cold/frozen products, the organic peanut butter chips are: high in fiber, protein and potassium; naturally cholesterol and gluten free; as well as certified organic, kosher and non-GMO. Produced without soy or dairy, the vegan chips have no added flavors or preservatives. And with only a quartet of ingredients, the chips are a clean-label alternative to other peanut butter add-ins, says Fichtner.

The chips are available made with either coconut or cane sugar. The coconut sugar version is FODMAP Friendly certified and has an extra molasses/fruit-y taste profile and a lower glycemic index, which is especially important to Paleo and other folks who would like to eat sweet but can’t — or won’t — eat cane sugar or most other available sweeteners.

“Global Organics is proud to launch this ‘made in the U.S.A.’ product, and because the manufacturing facility uses renewable energy and is 100 percent carbon neutral, there’s even more to feel good about,” Fichtner says. “We are eager to see what our manufacturing partners are able to create with these versatile, delicious organic peanut butter chips.”
