Keebler Announces New Appointments

Keebler Foods Co., Elmhurst, IL, has announced the election of three new officers and the establishment of a new organizational structure for recently acquired President Baking Co., Inc. (PBC). William Bayers, Jerry Cavitt and Steven Woolf, who have led PBC's two operating units and corporate headquarters, have been elected VPs of Keebler.

"We are establishing two new business units to help integrate President Baking Company into the Keebler system," said Sam Reed, Keebler president and CEO. "We believe the leadership of Bill, Jerry and Steve will strengthen Keebler's management team and help us continue to be a leader in the cookie and cracker industry."

In addition to being VP of Keebler, Bayers will serve as president of the newly established Mother's Cookie Company (MCC) business unit. MCC will direct the Girl Scout cookie business and other specialty channel sales of the Louisville, KY, bakery.

Cavitt has been named president of the Murray Biscuit Company (MBC) business unit in Atlanta. MBC will manage the direct store delivery (DSD) and the direct sales group channels of President Baking.

MBC and MCC will operate as unincorporated divisions of President Baking Company, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keebler Foods Company.

Woolf, CFO of PBC, has joined Keebler's corporate headquarters group as vice president of corporate planning and development. Woolf will establish a new planning and development function that will address strategic and organizational issues that affect Keebler's long-term growth and stability. He will also advise Keebler on the integration of President Baking Company.
