Kellogg Offers Pokemon Cereal and Pop-Tarts

Kellogg USA (Battle Creek, MI) is introducing a limited-edition cereal and Pop-Tarts toaster pastries based on Nintendo's popular Pokemon characters.

Kellogg's Pokemon Toasted Oat Cereal With Marshmallow Bits is the first and only Pokemon cereal. Each Pokemon-decorated box contains oat-based rings with four Pokemon character-shaped marshmallows—blue Poliwhirl, yellow Pikachu, pink Ditto and green Oddish. The cereal also is fortified with 12 vitamins and minerals.

Pokemon Pop-Tarts toaster pastries feature a new wild cherry flavor and yellow Pikachu frosting is topped with Pokemon sprinkles in four Pokemon character shapes. The toaster pastries contain seven vitamins and minerals and contain no preservatives. Priced the same as regular Pop-Tarts toaster pastries, Kellogg's Pokemon Pop-Tarts come 12 to a box, at an average price of $2.79. They will be available until the end of 2000.
