MALTISORB® Maltitol may not only be used for sugar reduction/elimination and calorie reduction, but also for glycemic-index reduction and texture, viscosity and crystallization control. In addition, maltitol is easy to use in processing. For instance, when maltitol is used in chocolate, high temperature conching may proceed without any process modifications. MALTISORB® Maltitol's low cooling effect makes it a good choice for chewing gum centers, particularly those that are fruit flavored where a cooling sensation would be undesirable.

MALTISORB® Maltitol can also be used in applications including cakes, cookies, muffins and snacks where sweetness and bulking characteristics are essential product attributes. . With sweetness almost identical to sugar, it can be used in any application to replace the sugar on a one for one basis.
