Nu-RICE is a natural, non-GMO rice bran extract that serves as a processing aid in the manufacture of cereals, pasta, snacks and pellet products. Its combination of natural carbohydrates, fat and pentosans provides many benefits in replacing oils and lecithins; as such, it can be applied as a replacement for soy lecithin in chocolate products, extruded fillings and wafers. Used as an emulsifier it is effective in corn, wheat, oats, rice and potato products. In addition, Nu-RICE can be used as an alternative to mono- and diglycerides.
Average use rates lie between 0.25% and 0.5%.
