Ottens Flavor System

Ottens introduces a new multi-flavoring system that imparts popular tastes like chocolate, cappuccino, and actual dairy milk to soy milk. "While soy milk is one of the fastest selling products in supermarkets today, its taste is still an issue," comments Dave Thomson, Ottens' Technical Director of Research and Development. "Our multi-flavoring system helps solve the taste problem and broadens soy milk's appeal far beyond its health benefits."

The Ottens' system consists of Ottens Flavor Potentiator which enhances sweetness, masks the soy flavor, and lifts any flavoring that is added to the milk. Ottens Plus Dairy, which may be substituted for Ottens Flavor Potentiator, performs the same functions as the latter; but, it also adds a strong dairy enhancer component to lift a strong dairy flavor. A third product, Ottens Artificial Milk Flavor, may also be added to make the soy milk taste more like cow's milk. All three products are available in liquid and spray dried versions. Ottens Flavor Potentiator and Ottens Plus Dairy are offered in both natural and artificial forms.

Ottens soy milk natural/artificial flavor line includes: Vanilla, French Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Banana, and Cappuccino. Ottens recommends that either the Ottens Flavor Potentiator or Ottens Plus Dairy be used to mask the taste of soy. Then, add a specific flavoring to achieve desired results in the final product.
