The Product Development staff conducts research in food ingredient applications including product matching, new product development, sensory and physical testing and shelf-life evaluations
The Product Development staff conducts research in food ingredient applications including product matching, new product development, sensory and physical testing and shelf-life evaluations. The department operates a USDA-inspected pilot plant. It also has a certified thermal processing expert on staff and prepares small product batches for evaluation, sample demonstration or use in market tests. Custom designed microbial starter cultures and liquid spice blends are also produced by this department.
