Russell Stover Opens Texas Plant

Russell Stover Candies (Kansas City, MO) has opened its fourth candy plant and kitchen in three years. Located in Corsicana, TX, approximately 50 miles southeast of Dallas, the new manufacturing facility is 462,000 square feet and is adjoined by the Russell Stover retail store. The facility initially will employ 650 people and produce chocolate for the U.S. and abroad.

Russell Stover Candies employs 6,000 men and women worldwide.

"We're so happy to call Corsicana, TX our newest home and we look forward to a long and prosperous future in one of our nation's greatest states," said Tom Ward, co-president of Russell Stover Candies.

The Texas plant is Russell Stover's seventh in the United States and will produce 128,000 pounds of chocolate a day. In addition to Russell Stover's traditional boxed chocolate, the facility will make items such as The Pecan Delight Bar, The Mint Dream Bar, as well as candy for Russell Stover's licensing agreements.
