Partially defatted whole nuts and granules can be made from peanuts, cashews and other nuts. Peanut flour can be reduced to below 1% fat and offered with bland, intermediate and heavily roasted flavor profiles; oat flakes, oat groats, oat bran and oat flour can also be produced with less than 1% fat.
Specialty fruit products like crisp banana pieces and reduced-fat coconut offer flavor and texture for use in cereals, nutrition bars and other applications.
