Triarc Beverage Group Acquires Millrose
New York-based Triarc Companies, Inc.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, Snapple Beverage Corp., has acquired Millrose Distributors, Inc. for $17.25 million in cash, subject to adjustment. Millrose is the largest non-company owned distributor of Snapple products and the second largest distributor of Stewart's products in the U.S. Millrose's distribution territory, which includes parts of New Jersey, is contiguous to that of Mr. Natural, Inc., Triarc's company-owned New York City and Westchester County distributor.
"We believe this acquisition will enhance our ability to serve key retail customers," said Michael Weinstein, Triarc CEO. "We welcome the Millrose team to Triarc and look forward to quickly integrating their operations with Mr. Natural."
In addition to its Snapple, Mistic, and Stewart's premium beverage lines, Triarc also is a restaurant franchiser (Arby's, T.J. Cinnamons and Pasta Connection) and a producer of soft drink concentrates (Royal Crown, Diet Rite and Nehi).
