Quaker Oats Companyharina is milled from sound, scientifically cleaned corn that has been steeped, ground and dried to produce a stable flour for the production of authentic, uniform, Mexican foods. Made from white corn, Quaker Oats Companyharina mixes instantly with water; there is no waste, as one prepares only the amount of masa harina required to meet production schedules.

The product has a 7-8 pH and a high absorption rate, producing a uniform tortilla without the undesirable taste of excess lime and preservatives. It also blends well with other food ingredients while retaining its unique flavor.

Quaker Oats Companyharina can be used as a thickener and flavor ingredient for Mexican sauces, chili, soups, and tamale meat fillings in the prepared and frozen food industries, and as a flavor and texture ingredient for breads, muffins, crackers, and sweet rolls in the baking industry.
